Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 3, at St. John's Lutheran church, Moyer township, for Mrs. Edward Boese, 59, who died at the Benson hospital Aug. 1 of a heart ailment of several years followed by a stroke.
Rev. H.W. Krull officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Henry and Ernest Rath, Harvey, Leo and Donald Boese and Lyland Reich. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
Delila Borchert was born April 28, 1893, at McLeod county, the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Borchert. They moved from Minnesota to South Dakota in 1900. She was united in marriage Nov. 19, 1925, at Madison, S.D., to Edward Boese, of Holloway. To this union one son,Bernard, was born. The family resided on a farm near Holloway from 1925 until April of this year when Mr. and Mrs. Boese moved to Benson.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church and charter member of its Aid, being the first president.
Survivors include her husband and son, and a sister, Mrs. Henry Rath, of Madison, S.D. Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.
