Funeral services for Joseph Herward "Herb" Davis, 79, of Brashear, MO will be held at two o'clock Saturday March 15, 1987 in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Brashear. The Rev. Beryl Cragg will officiate. Burial will be in the Bible Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
Mr. Davis died at 3:22 Wednesday afternoon, March 12, 1986 in Grim-Smith Hospital.
Born February 22, 1907 in Adair County, MO he was the son of Samuel and Minerva Calef Davis. On January 12, 1935 at Edina, MO he married Ida Mae Patterson who survives.
Also surviving are one brother, Olan Davis of LaPlata and one nephew, Junior Davis.
Mr. Davis was a life-long resident of the Brashear community. He was self-employed as a mechanic and an electrician. For many years he was a bus driver for the Brashear Public Schools.
During World War II he served with the United States Army.
Bearers will be nephews, Jim Eggers, Jerry Patterson, Clyde Patterson, Russell Patterson, Richard Patterson, Mike Patterson, Alan Ray Patterson and Olan Junior Patterson.
