Funeral services for Edward V. (Buddy) Chastain, 61, of Thomasville will be held Monday, July 21, 2008 at 11:00AM at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church. Mr. Chastain died Friday, July 18, 2008 at Magnolia Manor South in Moultrie. The Rev. Homer Croft will officiate and interment will be in the church Cemetery. Born March 1, 1947 in Ochlocknee he was the son of the late Willie Rayburn and Jesse Eunice Johnson Chastain. He was a member of Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church and worked for the City of Thomasville for 18 years. On December 23, 1983 he married Mary Castleberry Chastain who survives. Other survivors include Children, Bruce and Angela Chastain of Dalton; Frank and Karla Myers of Valdosta; Scott and Nancy Chastain of Quitman; John and Robyn Chastain of Thomasville; Amanda Chastain of Thomasville and Christina Kindon of Cairo; a brother, Joseph Chastain of Thomasville; and 3 sisters, Mary Aldridge of Cairo; Trudy Calhoun of Valdosta and Delores Flanagan of Dalton and 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was loved and will be missed.
