Funeral services for Mary Annie Leschper, 99, of Sealy were held Nov. 18 at the First United Methodist Church in Sealy, with Rev. John Tyler officiating. Interment was in the Sealy Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service were Lance Leschper, Gene Leschper, Andrew Leschper, Kevan Leschper, Timothy Prince, Jeff Krolczyk, Lewis Cypher and Rex Waxler.

Honorary Pallbearers were Larry Leschper, Lee Leschper, Leland "John" Leschper, Donna Lehmann, Karen Waxler, Angie Leschper, Alicia Leschper, Kendra Verhelle, Deborah McDowell, Cindy Prince, Betty Lutz, Bonnie Reames, Mary Ann Rosselli, Helen Rother and Debbie Almonza.

Mary Annie Ludwig was born to parents, Max and Emma Schubert Ludwig. She was raised in the Peters community, where she was a lifelong resident, and attended the Peters Hacienda School.

She married Walter J. Leschper in Sealy on Feb. 23, 1929.

Mary was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sealy. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She died Nov. 14 in Bellville.

She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Prince and husband Jerry of Houston, Nelda Tamborello and husband Thomas of Houston, and Doris Krolczyk and husband Clem of Brenham; sons, Wilbert Leschper and wife Gladys of Sealy, Walter Leschper and wife Judy of Sealy, Kenneth Leschper and wife Cleba of Jersey Village, and Adolph Leschper and wife Edna of Sealy; grandchildren, Lee Leschper and wife Beth, Larry Leschper and wife Katheryn, Lance Leschper and wife Karen, Leland "John" Leschper and wife Andrea, Gene Leschper, Donna Lehmann and husband Alan, Karen Waxler and husband Rex, Andrew Leschper and wife Susan, Angie Leschper, Alicia Leschper, Kendra Verhelle and husband Blaine, Kevan Leschper and wife Rebecca, Deborah McDowell, Timothy Prince and wife Lecia, Cindy Prince, and Jeff Krolczyk and wife Lori; step-grandchildren, Lewis Cypher, Betty Lutz, Bonnie Reames and husband Darrell, Mary Ann Rosselli, Helen Rother and Debbie Almonza; sister-in-law, Irene Ludwig; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Leschper; son, Lee Roy Leschper; daughter, Florence Frank; grandson, Steven Krolczyk; sister, Annie Svec; brothers, Paul and William Ludwig; daughters-in-law, Janie and Maggie Leschper; son-in-law, Leon Frank; sister-in-law, Lillie Ludwig; brother-in-law, Adolph Svec; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Andrew and Leona Leschper, and Arthur and Nonie (Ilse) Leschper; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lillie Meloneck, and Herman and Alma Dupree and Carlton; sister-in-law, Helen Leschper; and father and mother-in-law, Adolph and Helena Leschper.
