Albert L. Anthon, 76, of 3222 Oakridge ave, a former Sun Prairie area farmer and a retired employee of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau, was declared dead on arrival at a Madison hospital, Coroner Clyde Chamberlain Jr., said Mr. Anthon had a history of a heart condition. He was born in the town of Leeds, Columbia county, in 1890, and was married April 5, 1915 to Maud Vahlen. They had been Madison residents since 1945.
Mr. Anthon was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here, and was a former deacon and former head usher of the Church.
Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons Wayne, 4202 Maher ave, and Clifford, Sylvania, Ohio; one daughter, Miss Mary Damon, at home; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Rinker, Cambridge, and a half sister, Mrs. Louis Gyland, Stoughton; a half brother, Lauris Anthon, Columbus; nine grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Gunderson funeral home, 5203 Monona dr. here from 4 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday, when the body will be taken to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held in the church at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Ernest B. Steen officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn cemetery here.
