Funeral services were held in Union Lutheran Church Saturday for Carl K. Stromme, 79, who died January 20 in a Valley City hospital. The Rev. S, S, Urberg officiated.
Mr. Stormme was born July 11, 1880 in southern Minnesota, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Knute Stromme who homesteaded in Dakota Territory in 1882.
He married Stina Jordahl in Hader, Minnesota in February 1907. They farmed near Hannaford. She died December 10, 1950.
Mr. Stromme leaves an adopted son, Mervin of Plains, Montana and a foster daughter, Mrs. Martin (Borghild Froyen) Haugen, Valley City.
Burial was in the Union Cemetery.
