The remains of Walter F. Dennard, son of our esteemed friend, W.E. Dennard, who died at Taylorville*, Fla., last Wednesday, were brought here for burial in the family cemetery at Mt. Pleasant church. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. R.E. Parnell in the absence of the regular pastor. Walter's death was a shock to the entire community as well as his immediate family. He was reared in three miles of this place, and on account of his genial disposition and noble traits of character he was admired and esteemed by everybody. The entire community sympathizes with his family and his devoted wife. His son is still very ill with the same fever his father had, but was thought to be improving yesterday.
