Mrs. Kate M. Richardson of 609 North 14th Street, passed away at the Herrin Hospital, yesterday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock, after two months illness. The exact cause of death was not announced since Mrs. Richardson’s case was rather complicated and of varied nature.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milo Austin, she was born in Pope County, May 7th, 1890, and at death was 47 years, 9 months and 14 days of age. Her husband, Arthur J. Richardson, survives. She had lived in Herrin for the last 13 years.

Besides her husband here, and her father, who resides in Pope county, Mrs. Richardson leaves three children: Lee Grissom by a former marriage; Alfred Richardson and Milo Deon Richardson, both well known young Herrin men; a brother, Van Austin and a sister, Mrs. Floyd Seymour, both of Herrin.

Funeral services are to be conducted from the First Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock with Rev. Tom Roberts, the pastor, and Rev. I. E. Lee, former pastor here officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Pope County.
