Gilbert, the son of William and Cecil (Noyes) Radke, was born on December 14, 1920 in the town of Westfield in Sauk County. He was married to Mary Huebl on Sept. 8, 1946 in Baraboo. Gilbert was employed by Olin Corporation as a carpenter for over 25 years. After his retirement from Olin, he had continued working part-time for Senger Lumber Company until the present. Gilbert was a member of the Carpenter's Union #693.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Radke of West Baraboo; three children, Ronald Radke and Kenneth Radke of West Baraboo and Charlotte (Thomas) Snyder of Baraboo; three grandchildren, Lian Radke and Jason and Janelle Snyder; five sisters, Marcella (Perry) Ramsey of Baraboo, Caroline (Ray) Siberz of Baraboo, Edna Armbruster of North Freedom, Edith (Albert) Nystrom of Phoenix, Ariz. and Virginia Kaney of Milwaukee; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Ann; a brother, Ralph Wiese, and two sisters, Elva Loomis and Adeline Doyle.
Burial was in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
