Mr. Sidney Johnson Mohon Sr., 95, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Zora Tucker in Dunmor Friday, Oct 13. Mr. Mahon, a retired miner, was born in Muhlenberg County Dee. 27, 1865. He was the son of William and EvelaineJackson Mohon and had been a member of the Beech Creek Missionary Baptist Church for 47 years. He was an employe of the Beech Creek Coal Company and a resident of Dunmor. Funeral services. were conducted by the Rev. J. B. Maddux Jr., assisted by the Rev. Joe Prater, at the Beech Creek Missionary Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 15, at 2:30 p. m with burial in Jackson Cemetery.
At the time of his death, survivors included his wife, Mrs. Willie Katherine Mohon, Dunmor, one daughter, Mrs. Zora Tucker, Dunmor; three sons, S. J. Mohon Jr., Lewisburg, John Avert and Fred Willard Mohon, both of Dunmor; 12 grandchildren an4 27 great-grandchildren.
