"Francess Dupin Brear, 93, of Big Clifty, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, at North Hardin Convalescent Center. A native of Hardin County, she was a member of Needham Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was the church pianist at many churches at which her husband was pastor. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ransom Fife and Florence Elizabeth Barnes; a brother, James Mayfield Fife; and her husbands, Carl Bishop Dupin on June 12, 1960 and the Rev. Clarence Brear on Dec. 16, 1976. Survivors include a stepson, Bobby Brear of Little Rock, Ark.; cousins and special friends Martha Jean Owsley of Cecilia and Mary Lou Chester of Louisville. The funeral is 4 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Rev. James Robert Love and the Rev. Shelby Haire officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home."
