William Wright and Mary Lair were married 19 Jun 1817 in Barren Co., KY.

According to Lorraine Calvert: The birthdates of Mary Lair and her husband William Wright
are the first entries in the Family Bible now owned by Lorraine Calvert {1991}. It was
Mary who presented this Bible to her daughter Mary Catherine Wright Newman. It was two
weeks after Yankee troops went through nearby Bowling Green, KY in 1862 and at the time
Mary and her husband Alexander Newman were preparing to leave for Missouri.
