Ben Johnson
Bernard (Ben) Johnson, 80, lifelong Eureka area resident, died at his home Tuesday, Dec. 17. He was bom near Eureka on March 2, 1894, a son of Albert and Anna Ludeman Johnson. He married Marjle L. Fanner [Marjie Lee Farmer] on July 12, 1917, in St. Peter, Minn. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Arlene) Blumenshine of Eureka and Mrs. James (Oneida) Hutton of Lakeside, Calif.; one brother, Jasper Johnson of Peoria; two half brothers, John Sloter of Eureka and Harry Sloter of Secor; one half sister, Mrs.
Grace Porth of Secor; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Three brothers, two sisters, two half brothers and a great grandson preceded him in death. Mr. Johnson was a member of Woodford County Farm Bureau. He was a retired farmer and machinist.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Association. The funeral was at the Otto-Argo funeral home Thursday and the burial in Olio Cemetery
