A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Havre for George H. Bauer, 69, of Havre. He died Monday at Northern Montana Hospital. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Home and burial will be at Havre cemetery.

Mr. Bauer was born Sept. 8, 1916, in Espanola, Wash. He was schooled in Reardon, Wash., and attended college at Gonzaga University in Spokane and in Kansas City, Mo. He studied radio and received a first class radio license. He came to Havre in 1946 and worked for the Triangle Telephone Co. as sage supervisor stationed at the Havre Air Force Base. He retired in 1981, after 21 years of service. On Dec 26, 1950 he married Louise Pruys in Havre.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Joseph of Dallas, Texas, James of Havre, Jerome of Philadelphia, John of Evanston, Ill., David of Missoula and Daniel of Minneapolis, Minn.; brothers, Eugene of Spokane, Donald of Kirkland, Wash., and Daniel of Madrid, Spain,; sisters, Marie Westerman of Spokane, and Beatrice Fisher of Toledo, Oregon, and numerous nephews,nieces and cousins.
