William N. Viers, resident of Klamath Falls since 1938, died at a local nursing home following a lengthy illness. He was 86 yeas old, born in Michigan in 1869. Mr. Viers homesteaded on the famous Oklahoma strip as a young man, came to Oregon in 1926 living at Bend and later coming to Klamath County. He had farmed most of his life before retirement.

Surviving are his widow Mrs. Della Jane Viers, to whom he had been married for 60 years; ten children, three sons, Virgil of Nyssa, Oregon, Frank of Pasadena, Calif., and Victor Viers of Eugene, seven daughters, Mrs. Effie Thompson and Mrs. Rose Muller of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Venora Woods of Klamath Falls, Mrs. Edna Kennicott of Whittier, Calif., Ehtel Viers of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. Evelyn Hanson of Ontario, Calif., Mrs. Geneva Davis of Anaheim, Calif.; 16 grand children and 18 great grandchildren.
