Died 2:30 a.m. Sunday, April 22, 1990, at his residence in Acworth, Ga. He was 80, and a native of Dry Creek. Visiting at Lonepine Baptist Church, Lonepine, until religious services at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial in Griffin Cemetery.

Survived by wife, Eunice Strother Harper; two sons, Curtis Samuel Harper Jr. and Cary Edwin Harper; a daughter-in-law Charlotte Price Harper; a brother, Calvin Harper; two sisters, Myra Ortego and Marie Tubre; and three granddaughters, Amy Harper Welborn, Amanda and Laura Harper.

Pallbearers will be Troy Sadler Jr., John Coker Welborn Jr., Leonard Ortego, Damon Edwards, Jerrod Edwards and Taylor Edwards.

Family requests memorial donations to American Cancer Society. Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, in charge of arrangements.
