CHILD DIES
Ruth Abraham, 8-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Abraham of Byron, passed away on Monday at the hospital. Death was caused by acute peritonitis and intestinal complications. Funeral services were held at Byron and interment made in the cemetery there.
A large crowd attended the funeral services of Ruth Abraham which were held Wednesday, September 18 at two o'clock in the L.D.S. hall. The services were under the direction of Bishop Frank L. Jones. By request the congregaton sang "We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet." Prayer was offered by Leo J. Neville.
The girl's chorus, Arleen Jones, Ester Neville, Virginia Vale and Corrine Curtis, sang "I Had Such a Pretty Dream." Donna Jones accompanied them. Thomas Rogers, Bishop Jones and President A. R. Boyack were the speakers. A violin solo was given by Ralph Ericksen, accompanied by Miss Young. The closing number was sung by Mrs. Peterson and Arleen Jones accompanied by Miss Young. Benediciton was given by Leonard Cowley. Her classmates of the third grade carried the flowers and Jack Stevens, Archie Ames, John Pryde and Tommy Wolverton were the pallbearers. She is survived by her parents, three sisters and a host of other relatives.
Kathleen Ruth Abraham was born in Byron May 3, 1927 and was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Abraham. She had been ill, but a few days and passed away in the Lovell hospial at 5 o'clock Monday evening, September 16th. The cause of her death was acute peritonitis. The Byron community extend their love and sympathy to the bereaved parents.
Mr. and Mrs Shriver of Bridger, Mont., attended the funeral service on Wednesday for Ruth Abraham, Mrs. Shriver and Mrs. Abraham are cousins.
