About two o'clock in the morning, some of the family had looked after her wants. At 4 o'clock Mr. Butler arose and went to enquire about his wife and found her dead.
Mrs. Butler was born August 1, 1862, and was 65 years and 17 days old.
She was converted when she was 14 years old and had been a member of the church since that time. Since moving to Crane, she had been a member of the Christian church.
Mrs. Crane is survived by her husband and four daughters, Mrs. Minnie Parks of Lesterville, Mo., Mrs. Sally Jones of Marionville, Mrs. Ellena Garoutte of Long Beach, Cal., and Mrs. Etta Criswell of Republic.
Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian Church Friday afternoon by Rev. A. T. Mahaney and burial was made in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Marionville." The Crane Chronicle (Crane, Missouri), August 25, 1927
