Nettie (Annette/Annettie) HANSEL was born in 1882 at Garber IA, married & died at New Hampton in Chickasaw Co. IA, & is buried 1938 in New Hampton's Graceland Cemetery.
Her obituary said that she had moved to Chickasaw Co. in 1901 & after marrying George MOETSCH(c1867-) that same year, farmed till they retired in 1914 & moved to New Hampton to a home on North Linn Avenue. In 1936, as health failed, she underwent two operations revealing an incurable disease. She was bedfast the remaining four months of life till the Saturday she succumbed at 1:45 PM.
She was described as "...A faithful worker in the Lutheran Church(St. Paul's)..member of Lutheran Ladies Aid & E.M.B. Club. Mrs. Moetsch was a sincere Christian woman, calm, pleasant & always dependable, she was a helpful neighbor & a sincere friend." There were no surviving children.
