An occasional correspondent writing from Duncansville says: The sad intelligence of the death of Joseph L. Yon, on Friday, the 20th inst., of typhoid fever, was a complete shock to the entire community, as it was so unexpected. Deceased was aged 37 years and leaves a wife and one son. His parents are living and he also leaves three sisters and two brothers. These are: Mrs. Susan Balt, Mrs. Sarah Hoover, Mrs. Clara Cochran and Messrs. William and Henry Yon. All these relatives reside in Duncansville. Mr. Yon had been a barber for years, was of a kind and genial disposition and respected by all. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon.
