Lois E. Fallon Mayer, 87, of Cranberry, formerly of Gibsonia, died Friday, March 18, 2005, in Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community. She was born June 22, 1917, in Wildwood to the late Arnold A. and Effie M. (England) Anderson and was the dear wife of the late Edward H. Mayer and her first husband, the late Edward M. Fallon, and also was predeceased by a sister and a brother.
Lois was a graduate of Slippery Rock University, where she earned a degree in physical education. She earned a master's degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh and taught in the Pittsburgh Public Schools for more than 20 years. In addition to teaching, Lois loved to square dance with the North Hills Square Dancers.
Loving mother of Dennis A. (Pamela) Fallon, of Zelienople, and Pegi (Kerry) Henderson, of Georgia. Sister of Robert Anderson and Effie Burns, of Gibsonia. Also survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, in Cross Roads Presbyterian Church, the Revs. Robert Tuttle and John Campbell. Private interment was in St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery, Glenshaw.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Cross Roads Presbyterian Church, 3281 Wexford Road, Gibsonia, PA 15044. Arrangements by SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, RICHLAND.
