Lily Ruth Podmenik, 89, of Clearfield passed away on Dec. 7 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born June 21, 1919 in Goshen, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl (Selfridge) Adams.
She was known for her culinary artistry at various local establishments and was the owner of Lily's Collectibles. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Podmenik is survived by two sons SGM Michael H. Podmenik of Hampton, VA and Edward Podmenik and his wife Mary Lou of Fairport, NY, a daughter Sharon P. Hilton and her husband Dr. Ashley of Massillon, OH. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Molly Parker, Wendy Darugar, Christy Duncan, A. Stewart Hilton Jr. and his wife Jacci, Scott A. Hilton and his wife Cherie, Jennifer Podmenik, and Matthew Podmenik and his wife Rebecca and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry E. "Hank" Podmenik whom she married on June 19, 1939 and who passed away on Oct. 3, 1999, a sister Evaline M. Stone and a daughter-in-law Nancy Podmenik.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc, Clearfield, PA on Dec. 14 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Matthew Holbert officiating. Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services.
