Mrs. Smith died at her home in Lexington. She was born in Chester County to the late Dewey and Lucille Seaton Holmes. She worked with her first husband and father of her children, Dr. L. E Dickson, to whom she was married for 37 years. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Mr. Billy Sunday Smith, to whom she was married for 19 years and worked as a furniture manufacturing representative. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lexington, and enjoyed traveling extensively in Europe and the Orient. Books were her friends.
Survivors include her children, Bruce Dickson (Phyllis) and Jeanne Dickson Doss all of Birmingham, Alabama; two grandchildren, Jennifer Dickson and Tasha Dickson Heinze (Heath) and two great-grandchildren, Lydle Cole and Lauren Elle Heinze.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Lydle Edward Doss in 2004.
