He was a life-long resident of Bates and Henry counties and was a farmer before he retired in 1982. He was married to Edith Chenoweth on March 14, 1929, and to this union three children were born, Edith preceded him in death on May 11, 1977. On October 28, 1984, he married Fern Corwine, who survives. He was a member of the White Oak Methodist Church, Urich. He is survived by his wife, Fern, of the home; one son, Maurice Doll, and wife, Betty, Euless, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Shirley) Henny, Urich, and Mrs. Marion (Irma) Woods, Warrensburg; four stepchildren, Norman Corwine, Colorado, Nason Corwine, Amsterdam, Naomi Kershner, Grain Valley, and Nina Hockett, Adrain; two brothers, Harry Doll and Arlie Doll, both of Urich; two sisters, Tillie Cordell, Clinton, and Mary Urich, Kansas City, as well as seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Edith, and three sisters, Jannette Stewart, Leona Homan and Pearl Moree. Funeral serves were held at the White Oak Methodist Church Wednesday, September 16, 1992. Burial was held at the White Oak Cemetery, Urich.
