Mrs. Smoak was born October 27, 1920 in Orangeburg, SC, the daughter of Thomas Razor Bryant and Irene Lancaster Bryant.
She was a graduate of The University of South Carolina.
She is survived by her husband of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two daughters, Pamela Borgel of Winchester, VA, and Laura Steinback of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Thomas R. Bryant, Jr. of Methuen, MA; two sisters, Anne B. Bailey of Columbia, SC, and Joan B. Mabry of Orangeburg, SC; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
