Mrs. Doris Fickling Pace Myers, 82, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at Magnolia Manor in Moncks Corner.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2003, in the chapel of the Ott Funeral Home in Branchville with the Rev. Bobby Ethridge officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery, Branchville.

Pallbearers will be Steve Millen, Troy Millen, Brian Millen, Bradley Millen, Tracy Millen, Bill Saab and Kenneth Saab.

Mrs. Myers was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Bamberg, a daughter of the late Maybank Fickling and Bulah Fickling. She was the widow of the late Edward Lee Pace and Clyde Bernell Myers. She attended the Branchville School. She was a former member of the Sardis Methodist Church, a former member of Aiken Bomb Plant, Branchville and Smoaks Shirt Plants. She was a farmer who loved to share her vegetables and flowers with the community. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ann Pace.

Survivors include one son, Edward Lamar Pace and wife, Dorothy, of Irving, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Pace Millen and husband, Edward, and Mrs. Dorothy Pace Saab and husband, Bill, all of Charleston; half-sisters, Margarette, Francis, Ida Mae; and one half-brother, Mack Fickling; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Branchville Rescue Squad, or the Branchville United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends one hour before the services.
