Retired Services for Clayton Richey will be held today at 2 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Sellers officiating. Burial will be in First Baptist Church of Collinsville Cemetery. Mr. Richey, 92, of Collinsville, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, in his home. He was a retired teacher at Ross Collins, where he taught electronics. He was active in local politics for many years. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father. He and his wife, Alcyon, would have celebrated their 69th anniversary on Dec. 23, 2008. Survivors include his wife, Alcyon Richie, of Collinsville; his daughter, Marsha Hanson and her husband, Ed, of Pensacola Beach, Fla.; a son, Jonathan Richey and his wife, Priscilla, of Meridian; grandchildren, Robert Athe of Pensacola and Katharine Richey, of Meridian; a sister, Frances Wingo of New Albany and a niece, Margaret Dowdy of Philadelphia. He was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Clifton Richey Jr. Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
