Murle D. Knight, 76 of Roulette, RD 1 died Sunday, (March 10, 1974) in Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, following a long illness. Born Feb. 5, 1898, in Ormsby, He was a son of Ira and Emma Weimer Knight. On July 3, 1925 in Roulette, he married the former Grace Church, who survives.
Mr. Knight was a retired employee of the Pittsburgh Corning Corp. and was a member of the Fishing Creek United Methodist Church. He was also a member and past master of the Hebron Grange; a past state deputy of the Grange; and was a lifetime member of the Port Allegany Moose Lodge.
Surviving, in addition to his widow, are four sons, Lawrence Knight, Richard Knight, and Raymond Knight, all of Roulette, and Thomas Knight of Atlanta, GA.,: 16 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Vesta Miller and Mrs.Vida Robinson, both of Roulette,
and a brother, DeForest Knight of Port Allegany.
Friends will be received after 7 P.M. today at the Walter Funeral Home, 105 Main Street, Port Allegany. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced.
