BUFFALO VALLEY: Funeral services were held today in Carthage for Arthur
"Tad" Boyd, 73, of Buffalo Valley. Burial was in Rock Springs Cemetery in
the Rock Springs Cemetery in the Buffalo Valley community. Brother Phocian
Gibbs and Brother Lewis Sandlin officiated.
Mr. Boyd died Feb. 20, 1981, in Cookeville General Hospital.
A native of Putnam County, he was the son of the late Oliver and Martha
Anderson Boyd.
He is survived by one daughter, Ofa Tanner, of Indiana; one son, Douglas
Boyd, of Indiana; one sister, Stocie Dickens, of Ohio; and four
grandchildren.
