Raymond Combs, age 77, of Hamilton, passed away at Wellington Manor on Saturday December 6, 2008 at 6:25 AM. He was born in Hamilton on July 4, 1931 the son of Samuel and Kizzie (Bishop) Combs. Raymond was employed at Mosler Safe for 42 years retiring in 1992. He was a former member of Moose Lodge # 36 and an avid bowler. On June 13, 1951 in Liberty, Indiana he married Alberta L. Eucks.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta L. Combs of Hamilton; four sons, Alvin Combs, Raymond E. Combs, Robert Combs, and Gregory Combs all of Hamilton; his daughter, Penny S. Thomas and devoted son-in-law, Larry Thomas of Hamilton; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter; and close friends Jim, Ronnie, and Ray all of Hamilton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Sherrie Kaye Combs; three brothers, Arch Combs, Hayden Combs, and Ralph Combs; and five sisters, Hattie Combs, Anna Mae Hobbs, Mary Belle Nickell, Ida Combs, and Rhoda Waters.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Phillip Carpenter of Princeton Pike Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Ray's family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Wellington Manor for their care and concern.
