Curtis Franklin Veal Sr. MD, died Thursday, December 4, 2008. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with burial to follow at Deepstep Methodist Church Cemetery. Dr. Veal was a native of Deepstep but made his home in Milledgeville. He was a 1952 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia. He was An OB/GYN physician from 1954 until his retirement in 1991 and continued to work part time for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar Franklin Veal Jr. and Eugenia Breedlove Veal, his sisters Margaret V. Hodges and Virginia v. Merola and his daughter, Dawn Veal Ethridge. He was a member of the Community Baptist Church, was a deacon, and also taught Sunday School Class for many years. He was a Veteran of World War 11. Survivors include his wife, Eloise E. Veal of Milledgeville, and three sons, Curtis F. Veal Jr. of Seattle, Washington, Jay Veal of Los Angeles, California, and Joe T. Veal (Liz M.) of Lebanon, Ohio, a daughter Donna Veal Booth (Bob) of Hillsborough,NC, his brothers Glenn A. Veal (Phyllis) of Milledgeville and Eugene B. Veal (Jane) of Bogart; nine grandchildren, Mary Hannah Veal, Lauren Elizabeth Veal, Madeline Rachel Veal, Bethany Kate Veal, Audrey Grace Veal, Ellie Rebecca Veal, Elijah Alexander Veal, Adam Christopher Booth and Olivia Anne Booth. In lieu of flowers, the Family invites memorial contributions to the Medical College of Georgia Health Science University Foundation (for Curtis F.
