Mrs. Mildred Pugh, age 87 of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in the Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Pugh was born May 29, 1921 in Madison County, Texas and was a resident of Centerville for 48 years. Mrs. Pugh was a farmer and ranchers wife and attended the New Salem Baptist Church in the New Salem Community.
Survivors include her daughters Wanda Manning and husband Mac, of Leona and Sue Burke and husband Ken, of Crockett; sister Laverne McVey, of Huntsville; and numerous other relatives.
Preceded in death by her husband J. E. "Deb" Pugh; and sister Ruth Sigford.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Mildred Pugh were held Friday, August 15, at 10:00 a. m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Billy Gunnels officiating. Interment followed in the Midway Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904 or American Heart Association, P. O. Box 15186, Austin, Texas 78761.
