Jobie C. Hefley, 81, of Hector Dies
Jobie C. Hefley, 81, died Tuesday night at his home in Hector. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Missionary Baptist church. He is survived by his widow; two sons, John and Harvey Hefley, both of Hector; four daughters, Mrs. John Curry of Missouri, Mrs. Lester George of Pine Bluff, Mrs. Maud Price of Parkdale and Mrs. Bertha Edwards of Hector; two brothers, Toad Hefley of Lurton and Frank Hefley of Oklahoma; a half-brother, George Hefley, of Dover; and a half-sister, Mrs. Mitch Andrews of Dover; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Shinn and Son.

Newton County News, January 11, 1952:
Joeby C. Hefley, 86, died at his home near Hector, Ark. January 3rd following a heart attack earlier in the week. He was a native of Newton County and had lived at Mt. Judea and Bass, until about 1916 when he moved to Pope County.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sallie Bolin Hefley, two sons, three daughters and several grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, W. B. Hefley of Lurton and Frank Hefley of Wagoner, Okla., one half brother, George Hefley and one half sister, Mrs. M.L. Andrews, both of Dover. Burial was at Hector Friday, January 4th.
