The Hamilton Grit, Hamilton, KS, November 17, 1932

Mrs. Emil Berthot died at her home in Chanute, Saturday, November 12, 1932, aged 70 years.

Besides her husband she leaves three daughters, and four sons, Mrs. Ida Fix of Big Valley, Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Clara Hanson, and Mrs. Ellen Anderson, of Hamilton, Timon of Big Valley, Alberta, Canada; Arthur of Totland, Alta, Canada, Ulysses and Charles of Chanute, Kansas.

The remains were brought to Hamilton where she was buried in the family lot in the Hamilton Cemetery, Tuesday, November 15th, 1932.

Mrs. Berthot and her husband settled on the farm across the road west of No. 8 schoolhouse and made it a beautiful farm where they reared a large family of fine boys and girls. She was a woman of gracious character, a faithful wife and an affectionate mother. Her many friends here will mourn her passing and extend sincere sympathy to the sorrowing husband and children.
