Calvin A. Boynton passed away on November 29, 2008 from complications after a stroke. He resided at 1465 South Orchard Drive (150 East) in Bountiful, Utah at the time of his death.


Born April 13, 1920 in Bountiful, Utah to John Roy and Ethel Hayes Boynton. Married Janice Hatch on October 8, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.


He was an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Corps in World War II. He had a love for the outdoors, especially going to the cabin, boating, fishing, hiking and spending winters in Quartzite, AZ. He loved sports and enjoyed watching Jazz games.


He is survived by sons, Gill, Alan (Lynn), Dean (Lisa), and John (Amy); nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Harrison. Preceded in death by his loving wife; great-granddaughter, Tasmin Wilson, and sister, Fran Heath.


Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Bountiful 39th Ward Chapel, 1500 South 600 East. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street and on Thursday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Church prior to the services.
Interment-Bountiful Memorial Park.
