George J. Cikovic, 86, of 1316 Oak St., Lebanon, died Monday, December 1, 2008 ,in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Annabelle Hartman Cikovic. Born in Lebanon on October 11, 1922, he was the son of the late Vit and Helen Posta Cikovic. He was retired from the Cornwall Ore Mines, and also worked as an upholsterer for many years. He attended The Church Of The Holy Spirit, Palmyra. He enjoyed using his metal detector and wood working. He was a U.S. Army-Airborne veteran of World War II. Surviving are five children, Christopher, husband of Linda Cikovic of Lebanon, Anthony, husband of Donna Cikovic of Myerstown, Ann Blizzard of Annville, Michael Cikovic of Renova Center, Lebanon, and Timothy, husband of Barbara Cikovic of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Boeshore of Lebanon; and three brothers, Mark Cikovic of Clarks Summit, Pa., Frank Cikovic of Sarasota, Fla., and Thomas Cikovic of Lebanon; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Katherine Waldensberger, Anna Hain and Margaret Cikovic; and three brothers, Steven Cikovic, John Cikovic and Joseph Cikovic. Mass of Christian burial Saturday at 12 from The Church Of The Holy Spirit, 245 W. Pine St., Palmyra. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon. Visitation Saturday morning 11-12 at the church.
