Sarah Dora Emeline Cartwright Rorie was the daughter of Newton Monroe Rorie & Sarah Elizabeth Beaver Rorie. Her granddaughter, Kathy Green, said she was named Sarah for her mother; Emeline for her maternal grandmother; & Cartwright for the surname of the midwife who attended her birth. She married Johnny Tilley on July 4, 1897 & they had two children..James & Adler. Her husband & children all died probably within a span of a year and a half. In 1903 she married Oliver Richardson. They were the parents of Ellis, Roy, Gertrude, Ola, Graden & Louisa.

Dora's ancestors were historic figures of the Revolutionary War. The Beaver family cemetery located near Beaver Dam, south of Eureka Springs, AR, contains the graves of many of her Beaver, Pendergrass, & Cargile ancestors. Her Rorie & Ticer ancestors were among the early settlers to the Stone County, AR area.

Dora was fondly called "Dorie" & "Aunt Dorie." She & Oliver truly lived a Christian life. They were hard working, honest people who were respected in their community. They raised six children to be good Christians & to be people who truly loved family. Aunt Dorie loved her siblings & their families. Nieces & nephews & their families always were welcome at Aunt Dorie's home & were always provided with a wonderful meal, as she was a great cook. Her outlook on life, even in her last years, was an inspiration to others.wife of Oliver
