William, H. H. was born in the year 1840; married to Miss America Strick- land in the year 1864. Was a soldier in the war between the states, losing a leg in the battle of Gettysburg. Has held the office of tax receiver of Colquitt County for several terms. Was received into the fellowship of Pleas- ant Grove Church in 1890 and baptiz- ed by Elder R. H Barwick, where he remains a faithful member.
