Nancy Caledonia Mabra was born, Jan. 15, 1845 in Tenn. She moved to Texas with her parents about 1850. She married Robert Van Buren Barber, this was his second wife. Nancy and Bob had six children, and lived most of their life in Dallas Co. Her step-daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Barber, married her younger brother, James Adkinson Mabra.
