Funeral services for Mr. Edward Thomason, 66, of Mangham, LA will be 10:00 AM Friday, October 21, 2005, at Calvary Baptist Church, Mangham, LA. Rev. Gary Courtney will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery, Mangham, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Thomason was born September 3, 1939 and passed away October 18, 2005.

Mr. Thomason was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mangham, LA. He was an active sportsman, he loved football, gardening and travel. His special love was his grandchildren and his little Boston Terrier, Sadie.

Mr. Thomason was preceded in death by his parents Thomas A. Thomason and Julia Ammie Thomason; a brother, Thomas W. Thomason and two sisters, Evelyn Traweek and Bobbie Muse.

Mr. Thomason is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Carol Kay Vanderflute Thomason of Mangham, LA; son, Rickey Thomason and his wife Jennifer of Sterlington, LA, daughter, Belinda Hill and husband Kevin of Mangham, LA; five grandchildren: Tabitha Thomason and fianc?, Bobby Reynolds, Julia Thomason, Whitney Cain Thomason, Samantha Hill, and Kyle Hill; one great grandchild, Ragan Reynolds; two brothers: James Thomason and wife Rae of Shreveport, LA, Leroy Thomason of Baskin, LA; three sisters: Dean Allison and husband Dan of Ludlow, Mississippi, Mary Johnston of Magnolia, TX, Sarah Grippando and husband Carl of Terry, MS; numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Pallbearers will be Mark Johnston, Tommy Duane Johnston, Henry Muse, Jim Thomason, Tony Grippando and Josh Johnston.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, Mangham, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

A special thanks to Laura and Christy at LSU Oncology Department for all their special care and treatment. Thanks to Susanne, his Hospice nurse, whom he loved dearly for a short time.
