Mollie Brown-Simms-Shelby, age 99, of Rowell, died Nov. 30, 2008, in a Cleveland County Nursing Home.

She was born April 16, 1909, in Linden, Tenn. She was a homemaker and a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Shelby was preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Morgan Simms and Grady Shelby; her parents, Thomas Brown and Elenora Brown; a son, Gerald Kenneth Simms; and a daughter, Marie Ruth Briant.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita and Calvin N. Terry of Pansy, Faye and Lloyd Bradley of Woodlawn, Ray Briant of Rowell; eight grandchildren, Sandra Burr, Belinda Allred, Clifton Briant, Kenneth Briant, Brady Terry, Judy Pennington, Jimmy Bradley and Dennis Bradley; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held at Center Missionary Baptist Church in Rowell with Brother Doney Blackerby and Brother Calvin N. Terry officiating. The burial services will follow in the Rowell Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Dennis Bradley, Jimmy Bradley, Brady Terry, Kenneth Briant, Clifton Briant, Kyle Pennington, Jerry Pennington and Ethan Pennington. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the directions of Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
