MAYBEE -- Hazel M. Hess, 91, a long-time Maybee area resident who was active at St. Joseph Catholic Church, died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday in Beach Nursing Home after suffering a stroke. She had been in the nursing home two weeks, but since 1994 had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Dean (Shirley) Saum of Monroe. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at the Liedel Funeral Home, Maybee, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maybee. The Rev. Michael D. Malawy of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Maybee MI
