Eunice Marie Moseley Ascolese, 84, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2008, in Lynchburg, Virginia. Born April 8, 1924, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank, and is survived by three children: Pat Ascolese and his wife, Peggy, of Holyoke, MA; Ines Gilbert and her husband, John, of Topeka, KS; and Sue Decker-Brown and her husband, Bob, of Forest, Virginia. She is lovingly remembered as "Nonnie" and will be missed desperately by her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, one of whom, Jessie, was her best friend. Eunice's children would like to thank the staff on The Peaks Unit at The Summit for wonderful care, especially June Bradley, RN, who gave so much of herself to support Eunice and her family and who epitomizes respect, compassion and the profession of nursing. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
