Mr. Wm Samuel DePriest died at the home of his daughter near Trenton, Tenn. Friday December 14, of heart failure. He was 76 years of age. Mr. DePriest was born and reared in Perry County. He had been in ill health for several months. He was a firm believer in the Primitive Baptist faith. He was married to Ethel Burns in 1897, and to this union 6 children were born, all survive. They are: Mrs. Fred Burns, Paul, Graydon, Ben, Rudelph, and Claude DePriest allof this county, and by a second marriage to Miss Minnie Belle Bates one daughter, Mrs. Brady Mathis of Trenton, Tenn., survives. He is also survived by14 grandchildren and nine g-grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Henrietta Byrd and one brother, Robert DePriest. Pall bearers were: Billie, James, Carroll, Kenneth, and Frank DePriest, and Fred Burns. Funeral Services were conducted by Brother E. G. Harder, after which burial took place in the family cemetery near the home with Perry County Association in charge.
