Mrs. Mary Jeanette Witner, wife of Samuel Witner, died Sunday morning at 8 o'clock at the family home on Milton street, in Chautauqua Park. She had been in ill health since July 10 last.
The decedent was born on September 16, 1867, in Porter township, Porter county, a daughter of Lorenzo and Rebecca Fisher.
Most of her early life was spent in Porter township. For the last 15 years the family has resided in Valparaiso.
Surviving besides the husband are three sons, Arthur and Frank Witner, of Valparaiso, and Merrill Witner, of Michigan City; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. W. H. Dittman, southwest of Valparaiso.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Frank A. LePell & Son funeral home, conducted by Rev. C. M. Small, of the Christian church. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, southwest of the city.
