Blanche Brown, 82, of Parkersburg, died November 26, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born December 23, 1925 in Letart, WV a daughter of the late Charles Frederick and Stacy Foster Hoffman.

She was a graduate of PHS in 1943 and later retired from Kauffman-Lattimer Company as Accounting Manager with 35 years. She was Past High Priestess, Hathor Court #3 L.O.S.N.A., charter member of Order of the Amaranth-Parkersburg, member of O.E.S. of Parkesburg Chapter #14 and P.W.H.P. of White Shrine of Jerusalem #4. She was a member of South Parkersburg United Methodist Church since 1942, where she served as church treasurer and was a member of Hustler's Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul B. Brown; one nephew, Tom "Marcie" Hoffman of Columbus; two nieces Kay "Tom" Kennedy of Cary, NC, Christine "Emmett" Mays of Lexington, KY; four great nieces, Julie "Bill" McClung of Pearland, TX, Susan "Derek" May of Weatherford, TX, Stacy Kennedy of Cary, NC, Jennifer "John" Hammond of Columbus; five great nephews, Michael Mays of Lexington, KY, Scott Mays of Lexington, KY, Keith Kennedy of Cary, NC, Mark Hoffman of Columbus, Darren Hoffman of Columbus; three great great nephews, Jason, Wesley, Bailey; and two great great nieces, Kaylyn and Emma.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Thomas, John Frederic and Calvin Lowell Hoffman.

Services will be Saturday 1:00 PM at South Parkersburg United Methodist Church with Reverend Rick Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 & 6-9 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the South Parkersburg United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1813 Rayon Drive, Parkersburg, WV 26101.
