FORDYCE -- Bertie Gracie Garner Nelms, 94, of Fordyce, died Wednesday at Dallas County Nursing Home at Fordyce.
She was born Sept. 8, 1909, in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Ed Garner and Lula Tolson Garner.
She retired from the telephone office.
She was a member of First Baptist Church at Fordyce.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Randall Nelms.
Survivors include one son, David Nelms of Fordyce; one brother, Don Garner of Benton; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Benton Funeral Home at Fordyce, the Rev. Don Moore officiated. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery.
