Lena Margretta Morley was the daughter of Isaac Morley, Jr., and the granddaughter of Isaac Morley, Sr., the founder of Manti, Utah. Her ancestors joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints soon after it was incorporated. The Morley family and the family of her husband, Riley Newton Draper, met in Kirtland, Ohio, after which both families followed the Saints in their wanderings. Both families ultimately settled in Sanpete County, Utah.

She was born in Moroni, Utah on April 29, 1861. Her people arrived in Moroni in 1849 and had a good choice of land and water; her father thus established a prosperous farm, and in addition was a mason and builder, and was able to provide a good living for his family, including such education as was available. Lena was a model wife and mother - even tempered, tolerant and devoted to her husband and children. She was blessed with the gift of faith, and taught her children that life's purpose was to struggle through adversity so as to learn the difference between good and evil, and aquire God-like qualities insomuch as was possible (Extracted from the record of her son, Delbert M. Draper).

Lena passed away at the young age of thirty-six.
