Katherine (Burras) Adams Wayland, 96 died Tuesday 18 September 2007, in Tavares, Fla. She was born 07 April 1911 in Mountaindale.

She resided in Frederick and was a long-time employee of the Frederick Tailoring Company, later retiring to Florida in 1980.

Katherine was predeceased by husbands, Ben C. (Bud) Adams Sr. and Howard J, Wayland and twin brothers, William and Wilbur Burras.

She is survived by sons Ben C. Adams Jr (Anna Ruth)and Lewis R. Adams (Opal Leah); eight grandchildren and many great- and great-great- grandchildren. An accomplished quilter. Katherine mentored many aspiring quilters. She will be missed by family and many dear friends.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday June 14 at Mount Olivet Chapel,Frederick.

Katherine was a daughter of Charles Markell "Cabbage" & Bessie May Rice Burras,She was the sister of the following siblings, twin brothers William Joseph Burras Sr. and Wilbur Charles Burras and a siter that died at the age of 3 months Jane Burras.
