James Benjamin Harper, 70, died Wednesday in a Bonners Ferry hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Harper was born January 6, 1889 in Pleasant Grove, Utah and moved to Idaho in 1907. He attended Ricks college in Rexburg, Idaho. Most of his active life was spent on a farm. He moved to Bonners Ferry in 1943 and served for many years as custodian at the Southside Elementary School. He was a member of the Bonners Ferry Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include his wife, Margaret, at home. Two brothers, Marvin, Blackfoot, and Leo, Idaho Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Sorensen and Mrs. Cecile Pendlebury, both of Blackfoot, and Mrs. Ella Lord, Roberts, Idaho; 29 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The body is being sent to Pocatello, Idaho, for services and burial tomorrow.
